Bembridge Outboards was established in 1967 by Arthur Robinson and was the first dedicated outboards sales and service centre on the Island.
In 1973 he purchased the current water side showroom and an adjoining workshop and the company has continued to grow..
In 1998 Jim Robinson joined,and started to take over the running of the company, since then we have completely rebuilt and modernised the yard with a dry berthing system, purpose built inside storage facility to hold forty boats, and new two story workshop, and fit our shop.
We also have our own pontoon and slipway.
We have long term, hard working team of staff to back up the premises.
We are the islands main agent for the Mercury Outboards, and have a vast knowledge of the brand, our clean modern facilities and trained technicians can handle all aspects of outboard repair, from the most simple two hp with a leaking carburettor, to the ultra modern optimax and supercharged verado outboard range which require computer diagnostics.
In 2004 we started to design our own range of ribs. We launched the Shearwater brand in 2005, and the flagship Shearwater 860 is a highly accredited, being nominated for Motor boat of the year awards 2008.
